THE QUALITY AQUATICS STORE?

We have been in business since 1991, providing sales, service, and maintenance to all of our prospective customers and current clients.    I started this business as a side job while working as a manager at a pet store.   Through the resources and contacts provided by that store, I built up a fine list of wholesalers and collectors that I still deal with and rely on today.  Although at some point in the future, we will have a store front, at this particular time for our company, we do not have a store, and do not do general sales to the public.  We do have all the capabilities to provide complete set-ups, livestock, and maintenance, and have been doing so for many years.  If someone contacts us and wants a complete set-up and the maintenance to go with it, we are the right people to take care of all of their needs.  What we don't do is sell a fish here, a tank there.  We consistently have questions or calls to see if we carry this fish or that coral, or that color stand.  Since we do not have a store front of our own yet, we prefer to support the fish and aquarium businesses in our community who provide honest, quality products and experienced advice.  If you live in the Sandusky area, L & S Aquatics is a fine store, for fresh and saltwater fish, as well as corals and invertebrates.  The Salty Critter, located in Vermilion, Ohio, is another very good source for reef aquariums .  Many people may wonder, "Why give your competition (or future competition) any press or advertising"????  The answer is simple.  In the big picture of life, any service business is supposed to be about helping people.  These 2 stores are both fine businesses with knowledgeable people and quality livestock and products.  I have been in them many times, and occasionally buy and support them when I need something on the fly, or cannot find what I am looking for from my own sources.  If I cannot give people what they need or want, why not tell them where to check next?  One final note:  What is not good in our hobby are the chain stores.  Many of these discount stores should not even be allowed to carry live fish, let alone saltwater animals.  Make sure to buy your fish-be it fresh or salt, from a reputable dealer who knows the who, what, when, and where of all the live animals they sell...
